Karla Ruiz is pursuing a career that involves an integration of web design, internet programming and internet applications development. Ruiz is currently a junior at the University of La Verne studying in Communications with a concentration in multimedia and Computer Science/Engineering with a concentration in internet programming.
Ruiz is also bilingual in Spanish and English. Her ability to write and read in Spanish enables her to implement or translate her design in either languages.Ruiz excels in learning new things and experimenting with new ways to improve her design skills and computer programs. Some computer languages and software programs that Ruiz has experimented with is JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, C#, Ruby, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Bridge and other Adobe creative suite applications. She goes out of her way to make sure her work is up to her standards and the client’s standard. Ruiz has a genuine passion for web design and development because it is a field that requires constant learning and adapting to new techniques.
Ruiz aspires to one day work for Google, Apple, or Facebook as web designer and developer. She plans to execute the skills that she acquired from her coursework, independent study and the experience of using software applications that are commonly associated with Adobe creative suite and Microsoft Visual Studio to implement innovative digital design and web development.
